The Media & External Relations team at Ahold Delhaize's Global Corporate Communications team is looking for a new colleague who would like to do his or her internship with us! We are a team of 5-6 colleagues responsible for the external positioning of Ahold Delhaize and of its leadership team. To do this, we work hard and with love on our external communication strategy; from financial communications (we are publicly traded), to media interviews, to our own podcast and the active social media accounts. It's never a dull moment with us and because we are a small team you learn quickly about all disciplines.

Your new job and workplace.
As an intern you make a direct contribution to ensure that all of Ahold Delhaize's communications are aligned with the core of our business, that we showcase the special stories and people who work with us, and that we keep up with what is happening in society. You do not do this alone, but together with your colleagues from the team. You support your colleagues with different responsibilities, where you work on:

• Performing (online) analyses on certain topics and/or media outlets to help decision making in external communications
• Publishing content on our external social media channels, including IG, X and LinkedIn
• Monitoring media publications and online sentiment (together with our SoMe team)
• Supporting with the creation of articles and other content for our internal and external channels)
• Support in monitoring our media relations email inbox

You will be an integral part of our Media & External Relations team, working on several different topics.

In this position you work 32-40 hours per week, partly from home and partly from our head office in Zaandam, which has a nice To Go in our Atrium so fresh coffee is guaranteed!

• Are you currently studying at an (international) university level (BA level and above), preferably in the field of (Corporate) Communications, Journalism, International Business or related field
• Solid English skills and affinity with communications
• You are in the last years of your studies and looking to gain work experience in a multinational environment;
• (Near) native comprehension of English, speaking Dutch is welcome but not required.

In addition, you:

• Are someone who has an upbeat and go getter personality
• Have a sense of humor, as we’d like to work in a cheerful atmosphere
• Are not afraid to give advice
• Have the willingness to dive into a topic
• Are happy to learn!
